Task

Instructable Poster

When making the poster, I decided to go with this lasagna recipe:

After confirming the recipe with Mr. Kannan, I listed down the steps and ingredients as well as visualized how I wanted to illustrate the cooking process.

Next, I started looking for inspiration from Pinterest and sketched out how I want my poster layout to look like. Mr Kannan suggested that I could do three columns merging into one since the recipe calls for two sauces and pasta.

From here, I got to work on digitizing my idea in Adobe Illustrator.

To make the food icons I used the shape tool and brush tool and then rasterized it.

After adding all the text and graphics, I wasn't satisfied with the font and the colours of the poster so I decided to play around with different combinations until I found one I liked.

I settled on making the three columns a similar colour as the flag of Italy.

Animated Instructable Poster

For this part of the assignment, we were asked to pair up and pick one person's poster to animate. My partner was my classmate Takuma and the poster we chose was mine.

Feedback

Week 5
Mr Kannan gave me a suggestion to have 3 columns merging into one for my poster.

Reflection

I got to implement a lot of things I learned in class into this project and I was glad. Working with my partner was a pretty smooth process because we planned well together.
