Mr Hafiz gave us this task and reviewed our work in the following weeks.

Task

We were tasked with creating a one-page comic with minimum 3 panels and a cover page based on the story "Monkey's Paw" by W. W. Jacobs. After receiving guidance and instruction from Mr Hafiz, I began my planning and sketching.

I liked this art style as it gives an eerie vibe, next was to draw out the panels of the comic.

These are a few panels I drew out and imported into Ibispaint to extract the lineart. Then, I moved on to Photoshop where I further adjusted the images and lastly Adobe Illustrator where I put everything together.

Reflection

Throughout this project I struggled with time management, thankfully I was able to pull it together by the end. I enjoyed creating my own comic and the short story was an intriguing read. I definitely learned a lot about composition and animating from this project.
